GoatLab Brewery is a German-focused brewpub in Lowell owned by Bill and Rhonda Adams, who also run The Grove Comedy Club next door. The couple have owned The Grove since 2016, and when the neighboring building came open they saw a chance to bring beer made in Lowell to the block. Bill was born in Germany and came to love German-style beer as an adult, which led him to homebrewing and a long-held goal of running his own brewery. He and the couple’s son Collin traveled to Germany to meet brewers and learn how traditional German beer is made, then brought that knowledge home. GoatLab has been brewing since March 2022, aiming for faithful versions of German styles. Its kitchen serves a full food menu, including a Sunday pancake brunch, and the brewery also offers event hosting. The family says it values the relationships it has built in the community.
