Superior Bathhouse Brewery

Superior Bathhouse Brewery is a brewpub in Hot Springs set inside a historic bathhouse on the city’s Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs National Park. The Superior opened in 1916, offering hydrotherapy, mercury treatments and massage, in an 11,000-square-foot red brick building by architect Harry Schwebke that stood apart from its Victorian neighbors. It closed in 1983 and sat empty for close to three decades before Rose Schweikhart converted it into a brewery in 2013. Every beer is brewed with the area’s thermal spring water, which is more than 4,000 years old and surfaces at 143 degrees, and the brewery says it is the sole brewery operating inside a U.S. national park, as well as the first anywhere to use thermal spring water as its main ingredient. Its lineup runs from classic styles to more experimental releases. The brewpub offers beer to go, a loyalty program and an online shop.
